Common fengshui sha in Singapore -Windz fengshui consulting
Vacant for years
“Sha Qi” means “Killing Energy” in Feng Shui and it refers to inauspicious energies generated by naturally occurring landforms as well as man-made structures.
Understanding Sha Qi - Sha Qi is the villain of feng shui because it can literally stop the nourishing flow of qi energy to the various elements that reside in your home, including you. Negative Qi disrupts and destroys this natural cycle of energy. While yin (sha Qi) and yang (sheng qi) are part of the energy known as Qi, they must remain balanced. Too much of either disrupts the element cycle and can create an upset in your home and your life. Negative Qi can be natural or manmade. It is such a powerful energy that it can suck up the positive energy, like the air is sucked out of a vacuum.
Natural Negative Qi-There are some places in the world that are harbingers of sha Qi. Negative energy has somehow been trapped either on the surface or below the surface of the location. This type of energy is very difficult to negate or overcome unless you can effectively identify what is causing it. Sometimes, it could be as simple as radiation trapped inside rocks like granite or an underground natural cavern that creates a pocket of stagnant qi. A natural or manmade event that resulted in a catastrophic outcome where people suffered or even died can create negative qi. Sometimes, the only remedy for such an area is to relocate.
Manmade Negative Qi- Many manmade things cause sha qi. Clutter is the biggest culprit. Clutter blocks the flow of qi throughout your home and when Qi can't flow naturally, it becomes stagnant. It's like damning up a river and preventing it from flowing down a mountainside. The solution is to get rid of the clutter. That means being merciless when it comes to getting rid of things that you don't use and don't need. Don't just box them up to store in the attic or garage. While they may be out of sight or contained in what appears to be a compact and organized fashion, the problem is still there, you've only changed the shape and location.
A barren rocky mountain is an example of a naturally occurring “sha” while high tension pylon cables and microwave towers are examples of man-made structures that generate “Sha Qi”.
“Sha Qi” is found indoors too. For example, a huge overhead beam over a bed can generate “killing forces” and is known as a “sha” albeit an indoor one.
In Feng Shui, a lot of effort is put into avoiding “sha” as well as how to block or neutralize them when they occur. But why so much fuss over them?
Sha Qi is created by natural or man-made structures found in the house surrounding.
The effect on the house and its occupants depends on the intensity of the Sha Qi which in turn is determined by the shape, size and distance from the house. For example the Sha Qi generated by a multi-storey office complex would be far greater that that of a two storey house. Similarly the Sha Qi generated by a structure 10 meters away would be far stronger than by a similar structure 100 meters away.
Depending on the intensity, direction, form and type of the Sha Qi it can depreciate the quality of the whole house or just a section of the house. For example a busy road ‘attacking’ the facing of the house can depreciate the good quality of the house while a less busy road ‘attacking’ from the side of the house may affect only areas at the side of the house.
The most effective way to deal with exterior sha is to avoid them completely. This is why during a house selection audit, practitioners always advice against buying a house affected by a nearby Sha.
They next most effective way to deal with Sha is to block the Sha Qi generated.
By the same token, an auspicious sector can also be negatively influenced by the presence of “sha”. This is the reason why Feng Shui consultant put so much effort into avoiding “sha”.
Here are some examples of external “sha” that you should avoid.
